Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Purpose

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for recording sales, accounts receivable, month-end close

Responsibilities

• Record daily sales from all retail locations and affiliates. Work closely with the store managers to ensure revenues and cash receipts are reconciled with POS and bank records
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare monthly reporting for outside agencies
• Prepare client invoices in MIP
• Reach out to clients to obtain necessary information
• Record unearned income and allocate to sales monthly
• Prepare monthly DLNR lease reporting and payments
• Reconcile and process quarterly royalty payments
• Prepare quarterly Franchise Tax Board reporting and payments
• Reconcile revenue and payments due to PHP partners
• Record memberships, Stripe and lockbox donations
• Manage and reconcile grant income and track fund spending
• Assist with Accounts Payable, as needed
• Overall support of the accounting function.
• Clerical Functions – Filing, scanning, mailing, organizing files, etc.
• Assistance with other departments, as needed
• Occasionally assist with inventory and other special events that may be held outside of traditional worksites and work location

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proven working experience in accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle information in a confidential, objective, and professional manner.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
