Wailuku/Kahului, Maui

 

Psychiatrist – Branch Medical Director

$19,036 - $22,730 monthly, commensurate w/ training and experience

 

Exempt, Temporary, Fulltime appointment.  The primary function of this position is to provide clinical guidance and leadership services to the Branch.  This includes the review of treatment records of the consumers serviced; evaluate the level of clinical services provided; provides feedback to all mental health professionals in the Branch on the quality of services provided; assessing and improving the system performance of the Branch; supervise psychiatrists working in the Branch; and provide direct clinical services.

 

 

Minimum Qualification’s

 

EDUCATION:  Graduation from an approved medical school in the United States or Canada or graduation from a foreign medical school and certification by the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).  Completion of one (1) year of approved internship and three (3) years of psychiatric residency training.   Board certified or meets the criteria to sit for the examination of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Three- and one-half (3 ½) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in community psychiatric programs involved with directing the development, implementation and coordination of treatment and rehabilitation programming and services.

 

SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in an outpatient program setting, including performance evaluation and labor relations.

 

LICENSE:  Valid permanent or temporary license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.  Valid State of Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Administration Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
