Position: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Pearl City Nursing Home, Pearl City, HI
Type: Part-time, On-Call

Job Description:

Pearl City Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our residents. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and manage respiratory issues and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' respiratory status and response to therapy.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory treatments and disease management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Current certification or licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Hawaii.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
