Job Description

A medical facility in Kealakekua is seeking a Kitchen Helper to be a part of a dynamic kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Helper, you will wash dishes and utensils, assist with food preparation, and ensure the kitchen areas and equipment are clean.

The ideal candidate will preferably have previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting.

Hours

Full-time, Various Shifts/Hours | Sunday to Saturday, 6:00am-2:30pm or 10:30am-7:00pm

Location

Kealakekua, Big Island

Pay

$24 an hour

Responsibilities

• Clean the kitchen areas and equipment to ensure a sanitary and orderly workspace.
• Wash dishes and utensils promptly to keep up with the flow of kitchen operations.
• Assist the cook with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
• Support food service by helping to plate dishes and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Assist with cashier duties during peak hours or as needed to maintain efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of raw and processed food preparation and cooking methods required.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions to ensure food is prepared and served properly.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
• Must be able to obtain a TB card for health and safety compliance.
