Job Description

Our client is seeking an accounting professional to join their team and assist their busy accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting features, including sources of funds, self-supporting operations, heavy cash flow, capital improvement contracts, and other disbursements.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of previous accounting experience and be proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Full-time, 7:45am-4:30pm

Pay

$34 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control accounts for funds and other assets at a program or department level.
  • Facilitate pre-audit processes and prepare documentation for payment of invoices and departmental obligations.
  • Review documents and liaise with requisitions or vendors to correct invoices as needed.
  • Conduct document reviews for accuracy and necessary corrections.
  • Facilitate the post-audit of procurement card transactions.
  • Calculate and process payroll transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
