Job Description

Experienced transcriptionist to produce clinical reports and assessments for the medical records by either transcribing a voice file or by editing/reviewing a document written by the physicians.

Hours

Full-time, 7:30am-4:30pm

Location

Kaneohe, Oahu

Pay

$24 to $25 an hour, DOE

Responsibilities

• Receives a dictation, transcribes the report, reviews for completeness and accuracy and sends to the dictator for review/edit.
• Prepares a typewritten reply in response to written requests for information from patient records. This procedure includes abstracting requested information and photocopying reports from patient records, and preparing a letter for supervisor's signature. Maintains a correspondence log, entering dates of requests and action taken.
• Maintains a log of dictated reports.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology
• Type 55 net words per minute
• 1 or more years of transcription experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
