Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) Patient Rights Advisor

Salary commensurate with training & experience

 

Exempt, Non-Civil Service, Full-Time, Temporary Appointment.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide specialized patient advocacy services to Hawaii State Hospital (HSH) patients that are court ordered and remanded to the care and custody of the Department of Health for care, treatment and services.

 

 

 Minimum Qualification

 

Education:  Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.  Advanced degree in Business or Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work or Law preferred.

 

Experience:  Experience with state government policy and procedure development.  Familiarity with the law regarding in-patient psychiatric treatment.
