Participants will spend the season working with a team to experience a 10-week immersion in the traditional Hawaiian practice of farming kalo, a culturally significant and vital staple to the Hawaiian people. All participants will be challenged to grow in areas of personal and professional development. In addition to practicing important Hawaiian values, beneficial technical and job readiness skills will be gained over the course of the 10 weeks. Partipants should be in the age range of 18-24 years old. Preference given to residents of Hawaii.
