If you love diagnosing and solving automotive problems while working in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! ASE certification is a plus but not required.

Hours

Full-time, Monday thru Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$25 to $35 an hour, Temporary to Hire

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and confirm customer complaints using all resources available, including communicating with other technicians.
• Test drive vehicles whenever possible before starting checkout.
• Perform a full safety check and thoroughly inspect the vehicle.
• Log all diagnostic notes into the Repair Order via Shop-Ware.
• Discuss parts and labor requirements with the Service Advisor/Manager.
• Repair vehicles and ensure customer complaints are resolved.
• Maintain a clean and organized work stall.
• Inform the Service Advisor/Manager when supplies are running low.
• Stock all received parts.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an auto repair shop.
• ASE Certification is a plus but not required.
• Understanding of how OBD2 scanners function.
• Basic computer skills and ability to type.
• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Work well in a culturally diverse team environment with respect for all team members.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Driving Abstract required.
