Brewery Technician II

Join our dynamic team at Kona Brewing Hawaii as a Brewery Technician II! If you have a passion for brewing and a keen eye for detail, we want you to be a part of our production-focused facility. As a Brewery Technician II, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing all aspects of the brewing process to ensure top-quality beer production.

Essential: 

Supports the Company’s Mission and Values
Perform duties in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures
Maintain attendance and punctuality
Follow policies and SOPS and keep accurate records
Properly use and maintain equipment and tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute all aspects of the brewing process, including milling, mashing, wort transfer, dry hopping, and yeast pitching
- Communicate and collaborate closely with the cellar team to ensure tanks are prepared, necessary CIP's are complete, and yeast is ready to pitch
- Complete multiple brews/turns per day in a production-focused facility
- Harvest and manage yeast effectively
- Coordinate with other brewers for smooth shift transitions
- Record brew information to maintain quality and production standards
- Perform clean-in-place (CIP) of brewery equipment and mash filter
- Maintain a clean brew deck and mill room
- Support Brewery Manager in managing brewing materials supply

Requirements:
- 2 years of brewing experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to unexpected changes in the production schedule
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or coursework in a science discipline, or equivalent experience in a brewing certification program is a plus.
