The Accounting Manager assists the Resort’s Controller to manage financial activities of the property to achieve fiscal objectives. The Accounting Manager executes financial strategy as set forth by the Controller and aligns internal accounting and asset control measures in all operating departments. The Accounting Manager maintains compliance with all related federal, state, and local laws, corporate policies and accounting best practices.

The Accounting Manager will perform the following responsibilities:
- Engaging property leadership and direct accounting staff through consistent and open communication; providing financial tools and information required to effectively perform job functions; and creating opportunities for development.
- Producing daily and weekly accounting reports for distribution.
- Processing payroll within established timelines.
- Assisting with resolving guest disputes.
- Providing calculations for monthly GET and TAT submissions.
- Educating leaders on financial standards property-wide and monitoring adherence accordingly.
- Preparing weekly forecasts for department leaders to effectively manage expenses for fluctuating business.

The ideal candidate is a skillful accounting professional with a minimum of three years of experience in the capacity of Accounting Manager, preferably at a hotel or resort property comparable in size and business volume. Preference will be given to a candidate with any combination of education and experience equivalent to a BA or BS degree in the field of accounting.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- The ability to read, write and speak in the English language.
- Well-rounded expertise of accounting practices, including but not limited to financial journals and ledgers, payroll processing, accounts receivables, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounting audits.
- Well-rounded expertise of hotel operations, including but not limited to hotel lodging regulations, credit card policies and procedures, asset and inventory control procedures, employment insurances and benefits, and labor relations is a plus.
- Familiarity in business law; federal, state, and local wage and hour laws as well as tax laws; and other Department of Labor regulations.
- Proven leadership skills to mentor and develop staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with staff at all levels of operation.
- Ability to critically review information and act as financial advisor to leadership team to achieve favorable outcomes.
- As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings including criminal background check, drug screening and professional references.
