A premier mechanical contractor in Kahului is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join their team. In this position you will oversee and manage the Finance & Accounting department processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree and 10 years of accounting experience.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Kahului, Maui

Pay

$90,000 to $140,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the accounting department.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement accounting policies and procedures adhering to GAAP.
• Develop and enforce internal controls.
• Develop short- and long-term operational strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting responsibilities and financial management.
• Previous construction accounting experience a plus but not required.
• Previous eCMS or Vista experience a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
