Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Pay

$60,000 to $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure emergency preparedness, safety, and data security.
  • Oversee loan origination, processing, and delivery to ensure compliance with internal policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Recruit, engage, and retain a high-performing team through effective human resource management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate companies, developers, and other stakeholders to cultivate loan referrals.
  • Manage the operational and administrative functions of the mortgage team and other affiliates as assigned.
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to achieve staffing, infrastructure, operational, and performance goals.
  • Serve as a spokesperson when needed and support government relations and advocacy efforts related to real estate financing.
  • Represent the organization in industry networks and implement best practices for current and new programs.
  • Ensure compliance with fiduciary and regulatory requirements in finance, human resources, and business operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in business or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in staff supervision, management, and comprehensive mortgage financing.
  • Previous experience in residential mortgage loan origination, processing, closing, servicing, and portfolio management.
  • Previous marketing and sales experience preferred.
  • Registration with the NMLS Federal Registry as a mortgage loan originator or the ability to become licensed within three months of hire.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to attend networking and community meetings outside of standard business hours.
  • Occasional travel to neighbor islands and the continental U.S.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with Hawaii's real estate and mortgage lending industry.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit business operations in Hawaii.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
