Procurement Specialist (217982-14)We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our client's team in the energy and utilities sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and a keen eye for cost-effective solutions.
Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$60,000 to $70,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement role or related Project Management Role.
?* Renewable energy experience in Hawaii preferred.
- Experience with electrical components, reading construction & electrical drawings and reviewing bills of materials (BOM).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite and other project-based CRM software.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.
- Experience with inventory management or ERP software preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
