Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team and be responsible for implementing and enforcing HR policies, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, and overseeing recruitment and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of administrative experience in a human resources department.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure equal treatment for all employees and guard against discrimination and wrongful discharges.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations related to employment, including EEO, Fair Employment Practices, ERISA, and COBRA requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment processes to meet the company's manpower needs by promoting from within or recruiting externally.
  • Review and develop job descriptions for new and existing positions.
  • Conduct recruitment activities, including posting vacancy notices, placing advertisements, and screening applications.
  • Advise supervisors and managers on employee relations issues, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate employee payroll, timesheets, vacation, and sick leave accrual, and report monthly to the management team.
  • Provide orientation and training for new employees and maintain employee records.
  • Engage in public relations activities related to organizational goals and health & wellness programs.
  • Attend community meetings and address health & wellness issues, providing recommendations to management.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and HR partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school degree with at least two years of college education or applicable work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a human resources department.
  • Must have a driver's license and use of a personal vehicle for work, with proof of adequate insurance.
  • Must have a clean driver's abstract with no moving violations in the past three years.
  • Proficiency in technology and automation, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of employee timesheet maintenance, personnel procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and TB clearance required by client for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
