Financial Documentation Specialist (218267-14)A local reputable financial institution seeking a Financial Documentation Specialist to manage post-closing activities, loan documentation, and compliance-related tasks. This role involves organizing and reviewing loan files, tracking outstanding items, processing commercial letters of credit, and maintaining reporting accuracy. This is a 3-month position with the possibility to extend and possibly hire.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in commercial real estate documentation and legal document review.

Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
Location
Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$19 to $25 an hour
Responsibilities
- Organize and process loan documentation, including participation/syndication files and letters of credit.
- Review and validate loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before filing.
- Track and resolve outstanding post-closing items with lending units.
- Submit monthly reports to Treasury regarding follow-up items on pledged loans.
- Assist with initial setup for insurance certificates and ensure proper system entry.
- Prepare commercial and standby letters of credit for issuance, amendments, and renewals.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting of outstanding letters of credit.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including OFAC verifications and document processing standards.
- Review letter of credit packages for compliance with state and international regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial real estate documentation and legal document review.
- Experience in financial services or banking preferred.
- Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
- Ability to pass pre-employment state and federal background check and drug test.
