As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational functionality and safety of our properties. Hours
Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location
Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$60,000 to $80,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
- Monitor and manage energy consumption to ensure efficient operation of building systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Collaborate with property management and tenants to address maintenance concerns and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control for maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property Management industry.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and climbing.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
