Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer to join our client's team in the Real Estate & Property Management industry. As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational functionality and safety of our properties. Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location

Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$60,000 to $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and manage energy consumption to ensure efficient operation of building systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Collaborate with property management and tenants to address maintenance concerns and enhance tenant satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control for maintenance operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property Management industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and climbing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
