Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$80,000 to $90,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations.
  • Manage accountants and staff, to include training and mentoring employees.
  • Ensure that financial reports comply with GAAP and other regulations.
  • Manage the quarterly close process including preparing, posting and approving entries, preparing reports and reconciliations, and researching and analyzing variances.
  • Provides required reconciliations, statements, schedules and information for the annual audit.
  • Assess, execute, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness, including processing of documentation.
  • Interact professionally and collaboratively with management and other departments for approvals, requests, and special projects.
  • Other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Must communicate well with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, executives, and customers.
  • Management of a team; ability to lead, develop, train, and motivate.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and be willing to fill gaps where needed.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with Great Plains a plus.
