Mental Health Policy (MHP)
Housing Project Analyst

$6,667 - $10,000 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The primary purpose of the Mental Health Policy and Housing Project is to expand statewide intergovernmental coordination, identify, and eliminate roadblocks in the affordable housing process to ensure federal and state resources are leveraged to maximize impacts for residences.

 

The primary purpose of the position is to determine outcome measures, identify data evaluation data for monitoring, develop partnerships, conduct research and develops recommendations about issues that may have statewide impact in subject matter area (SMA); researches policy and legal trends and issues as well as tracks legislative actions, directly or indirectly impacts assigned SMA; prepares recommendations for consideration by the Mental Health and Housing Plan project management.

 

 

Minimum Qualification(s)

 

EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

 

Excess work experience comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of successful study while completing a college or university curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.  To be acceptable, the experience must have been of such scope, level and quality as to assure the possession of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Three and one half (3 ½) years of progressively responsible professional analytical work in the evaluation of operating programs to determine their effectiveness in achieving desired objectives including handling and dissemination of complex information.

 

The education or experience background must also demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other documents; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically.

 

LICENSE:  A Valid Hawaii Driver’s License is preferred.
