Maintenance Specialist

Waikiki Health is seeking a full time Maintenance Specialist
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am – 4:30pm 

The Maintenance Specialist performs needed repairs and improvements at Keauhou Shelter. Ability to work under minimal supervision is required. 

Qualifications and abilities 

• High school diploma required. 

• Minimum two years of work experience in repair and maintenance work, including one year of experience working with plumbing and electrical work. 

• Must have a valid driver license.    

• Must be organized and able to complete all assigned tasks.    

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds from the ground.   

• Must be proficient in the latest version of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.  

General Duties include but are not limited to 

• Maintains tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition. 

• Ensure that laundry facilities and machines are working properly. 

• Coordinate repairs, services, and payment with outside vendors 

• Responds to emergency repair situations to ensure immediate safety of property/individuals and compliance with safety regulations. 

• Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures. 

• Assist Housing First Manager in ensuring compliance of the facility.  

• Other duties as assigned.
