Direct Support Worker

Provides a variety of direct care and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities at the Abilities Unlimited site or in the community. Direct Support Workers help participants achieve their individual goals in accordance with their Individual Support Plan.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements.

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• Completion of Abilities Unlimited orientation training or one year of experience working with people with disabilities.
• Must pass FBI Fingerprint Clearance Screening.
• 2 step TB skin test clearance or negative chest x-ray clearance.
• CPR training for adults including AED certification. Will be obtained through company vendor upon hire.
• Transporting is not required.  If transporting, must have own vehicle to transport Participants. A valid driver license and driver abstract is required.
