Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager position oversees the store operation and oversees the job performances of Lead Associates and Associates.  Assist Store Manager with orientation, training, scheduling, monitoring, and providing directions to all Associates to ensure the smooth operation. 

You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the retail, cafe, deli, and restaurant team.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise team members in all departments (cafe, deli, retail and restaurant)
• Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
• Train and evaluate employees
• Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
• Resolve escalated customer complaints
• Ordering operational needs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities

Main Duties:

●      Provide customer services as a leader of Associates

●      Handle escalated customer’s complaints

●      Monthly and annual inventory control 

●      Theft control and prevention

●      Ensure all Associates perform to the standards and expectations

●      Ensure all Associates are complying with store rules and policies

●      Train, coach and development of current and newly hired Associates

●      Assist the Store Manager in managing the shift schedule

●      Assist Store Manager in tracking Associate's attendance (tardiness, sick calls, etc.)

●      Assist Store Manager in counseling and disciplining for poor performance

●      Assist Store Manager with payroll, sales reports, and other paperwork as necessary

●      Seek and report improvement on a regular basis, create and implement solutions.

●      Provide flexible service in diverse situations within the basic guideline

●      Perform any other duties as required by management
