Activities Assistant - FULL-TIME

Oahu Care Facility, a leading long-term care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for our residents, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activity Aide to join our team. This is a full-time position from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, must be able to work at least one weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday).

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities and programs for residents based on their interests, abilities, and individualized care plans.
• Assist residents with participating in activities, encouraging social interaction and fostering a sense of community.
• Coordinate and lead group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, music therapy sessions, and outings.
• Maintain documentation of residents' participation and progress in activities.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in activities or recreation therapy preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
• Creative and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed.
