Job Description

Our client is seeking a Sales Clerk to join their team and help with the day-to-day duties of their busy office. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of customer orders ensuring orders are submitted, packed, and arrive on time. You will also assist with accounts payable tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and have strong analytical and organizational skills.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Location

  • Hilo, Big Island
  • Keaau, Big Island

Pay

$20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and relay messages.
  • Greet visitors as they walk in.
  • Submit local orders to packing plant.
  • Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, letters, memos, and reports.
  • Ensure customers receive their products on time.
  • Record customer payments and issue monthly statements.
  • Arrange trucking and airline cargo reservations.
  • Monitor airline and trucker holiday schedules and notify customers of any delays.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business partners and customers.
  • Assist with accounts payable tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Must be reliable with good work ethic.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment state and federal background check and drug test.
