Psychiatrist – Branch Medical Director

$203,880 - $333,528 per year, salary commensurate with training & experience
Â
Exempt, temporary, full-time, non-civil service appointment. The primary purpose of this position is to provide clinical guidance and leadership services to the Branch. This includes the review of treatment records of the consumers serviced; evaluate the level of clinical services provided; provides feedback to all mental health professionals in the Branch on the quality of services provided; and assessing and improving the system performance of the Branch.

 Minimum Qualification
Â
Education:Â Graduation from an approved medical school in the United States or Canada or graduation from a foreign medical school and certification by the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Completion of one (1) year of approved internship and three (3) years of psychiatric residency training. Board certified or meets the criteria to sit for the examination of the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology.

Specialized Experience: Three and one half (3 ½ ) years of progressively responsible professional work
experience in a community inpatient psychiatric program involved with directing the development, implementation, and coordination of treatment and rehabilitation programming and services.
Â
Supervisory Experience:Â A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an outpatient program
setting, including performance evaluation and labor relations. Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualifications for the position. The incumbent’s overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to
conclusively demonstrate that the individual has the ability to perform the duties
of this position.

License: Valid permanent or temporary license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii. Valid State of Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Administration Registration. Valid Federal Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
