Job Description

Our client is seeking a temporary Call Center Representative to join their team and handle any calls and inquiries related to power outages, trouble, and property damage. This is a temporary position that will last about 1 year.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm (weekends/evenings as needed)

Location

Hilo, Big Island

Pay

$20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and relay important information.
  • Perform timekeeping, typing, filing, logging, data entry and other clerical work.
  • Provide clear directions and explanations to the field personnel, customers & contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two or more years of call center customer service experience and/or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Familiarity with database maintenance.
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
  • Must have internet access and excellent computer skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to diffuse emotions and handle irate customers.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment state and federal background check and drug test.
